Dr. Patricia Bath

Dr. Patricia Bath was an ophthalmologist and medical inventor who transformed cataract surgery. She developed laserphaco, a laser-based method for removing cloudy lenses. She earned patents for her innovations and co-founded an organization to expand access to eye care. Her career combined clinical skill with engineering and public health.
