Who She Is: 

Anne Sullivan was the devoted teacher of Helen Keller, a girl who lost her sight and hearing at a young age. Through determination and creativity, Sullivan taught Helen how to communicate by spelling words into her hand, eventually helping her learn to read, write, and speak.
